VLADIVOSTOK, April 5, vladivostoktimes.com The first object which is being built for APEC Summit 2012 in Vladivostok will be put into operation in the third quarter of 2010. According to Primorsky Territory Road Facilities Department, the reconstruction of the road “Knevichi Airport – M-60” will be finished by this time, as the Primorsky Territory Administration press service reported to RIA PrimaMedia.

It will be modern four lane 9 kilometer highway. The road is planned to be a guest route for APEC Summit participants. It will provide speed and non-stop movement of the delegations and connect the road of the international passenger terminal of Knevichi Airport with the federal highway Khabarovsk-Vladivostok M60.

We would remind that the total length of the roads which are being built for APEC Summit is over 63 kilometers. Today the “guest route” of Vladivostok is being constructed.  Also they build new exit from Vladivostok, the road “Novyi Settlement  – De-Friz  –  Sedanka-Patrokl” , and the road “Patrokl – Golden Horn Bay” which will connect the bridge over the Golden Horn Bay and the bridge to Russkiy Island.

The main “parts” of the renewed road chain of Vladivostok will be bridges: one of the biggest bridges in the world over Bosfor Vostochnyi to Russkiy Island and the unique bridge over the Golden Horn Bay.
