VLADIVOSTOK, March 23, vladivostoktimes.com 525 million Rubles are going to be spent on purchasing of passenger liners, cargo vessels and ferries to provide the APEC Summit that is held in Vladivostok in 2012 with means of transport. Besides, the large cruise liners are being leased to provide the participants and guests of the APEC Summit with accommodation. Vladimir BALAN, the vice-Governor of the Primorsky Territory, told about it at the March session of the Primorsky Territory Legislative Assembly, RIA PrimaMedia reports.
“If the number of Summit guests appears more than we expect, we are going to use the cruise liners to provide the guests with accommodation. The leasing allowance will be covered at the expense of the APEC Summit budget,” Vladimir BALAN says.
We should remind you that Eugeniy ROGOZA, the General Director of the FSD “Far Eastern Directorate of the RF Ministry of Regional Development,” has already informed that during the three-day Summit in Vladivostok in 2012 the cruise liners of “Grand Princess” class are going to be used as accommodation for the foreign journalists delegated from all over the world.
The passenger liners can be anchored at the Vladivostok marine passenger terminal. All necessary improvements of the seaport building and its births will be made. Besides, the Vladivostok Seaport has already put into practice receiving of such liners,” Mr. ROGOZA notes.
