According to the information received, bad weather didn’t influence much the construction of summit objects
VLADIVOSTOK, February 26, vladivostoktimes.com The RF Deputy Minister of Transportation Andrei NEDOSEKOV held a business meeting on February 24 in Vladivostok. As SeaNews reports with the reference to the Ministry of Transportation press service, they were discussing the construction of transportation objects for APEC Summit-2012 at the meeting.
Today the primary contractors of the APEC summit objects construction “USK MOST”, “CROKUS International” and “KOSANDRA” don’t have any problems with cargo transportation by sea and by railroad.
According to the experts’ estimations, this year Vladivostok winter is very harsh. Due to collaboration between state customers of the construction Russian Ministry of Regional Development, Russian Ministry of Transportation and RF President Administration, the primary contractors “USK MOST”, “CROKUS International”, “KOSANDRA”, “AMP Vladivostok” and department of material and technical resources delivery monitoring, bad weather didn’t influence the construction of APEC Summit objects and the cargo was delivered to Russkiy Island according to the schedule.
Though all port stations were overloaded, cargo for APEC Summit objects construction had the delivery priority. Taking into account the importance of the international project, all the participants of the united transportation chain provided good service. In January 2010 over 1.5 thousand cars with concrete, metals and construction materials for the primary contractors were processed at the stations of Vladivostok branch of the Far Eastern Railroad – Vladivostok, Gaidamak, Mys Churkin, and Pervaya Rechka. All cargo for the construction comes on time.
According to Sea and River Fleet of Russia Administration, the universal ships made 3768 passages and delivered 805912,8 tons of various cargo in the period between October 2009 and February 2010, including 100774 tons in January 2010. Five ferries take part in cargo delivery to Russkiy Island: “Primorets”, “Bosfor Vostochniy”, “Brigadir Rishko”, “Ussuriiskiy Zaliv”, and “Zaliv Vostoka”. During this time the ferries made 2450 passages and delivered 263394 tons of cargo.
