Vladivostok will host leaders of foreign countries in 2012
VLADIVOSTOK, November 23, vladivostoktimes.com The Singapore Summit is one of the efficient and democratic events Sergey DARKIN has attended for 8 years of his incumbency of the Primorye Governor. Mr. DARKIN shared his impressions on the Summit with the journalists at the press conference that was held on November 19.
“We could learn a great deal from this Summit. Our delegation had a chance to adopt the practice of hosting of the APEC Summit; as you know in 2012 the Primorsky Territory also is to host the foreign visitors,” Sergey DARKIN says. According to the Governor, the presidents of 21 foreign countries are to arrive for the APEC Summit in 2012; each president will be accompanied by five-thousand-strong delegation. Each delegation has its own protocols and traditions. And everything should be taken into account by the host country.
“Today we should encourage and train the youngsters to volunteer for the Summit, especially they should study English. Currently, the project work is being completed and the building of all APEC objects is to start till the end of the year,” the Governor comments.
The APEC Forum has become a significant international event that attracts the attention of politicians, economists and businessmen. The way out of the global financial crisis was the main subject of Singapore Summit.
At the Summit Sergey DARKIN, the Primorsky Territory Governor, took part in the meetings of business circles, bilateral talks with China and Japan. The politicians discussed the wide range of political and economic issues, strengthening of cooperation and trade between countries.
