Americans and Japanese to See Vladivostok with Artists and Photographers’ Eyes

The parties came to agreement on arranging of the culture and art events in the framework of preparation for the APEC Summit

VLADIVOSTOK, November 21, vladivostoktimes.com The participants of the APEC Forums in Yokohama (2010) and Los Angeles (2011) will have a chance to see Primorye thanks to masters of art and photography. The Protocol Concerning Cooperation in Holding of Art Exhibitions was signed by the Primorsky Territory Administration and the RF Ministry of Culture, the art exhibits are to promote the positive image of the Russian Far East in the Asia Pacific Region; RIA PrimaMedia was informed in the press service of the Primorsky Territory Administration.

Besides, the parties came to agreement on arrangement of the joint culture and art events in the framework of preparation for hosting of the APEC Summit in Vladivostok in 2012. According to it, the branches of the largest Russia Art Museums are planned to open in Vladivostok and the international culture cooperation will be developed on the basis of culture institutions.  

The subscription of this significant Protocol took place at the Exhibition “Russia: Oriental View. Connecting Worlds.”    

The Exhibition devoted to Vladivostok - Primorye capital city represented our country at APEC Summit that was held on November 13-16 in Singapore.

The Primorye delegation with Sergey DARKIN, the Primorsky Territory Governor, at the head attended the exhibition in Singapore and saw the works of Primorye artists and photographers. The Governor highly appreciated the artists’ works and also thanked the organizers of this event. He noted that the exhibition gives foreign visitors a good opportunity to learn Vladivostok- the capital city of Primorye that is to host APEC Summit in 2012.
