They plan to finish construction of sewage facilities by November 2010

VLADIVOSTOK, October 15, vladivostoktimes.com 160 builders and 40 units of equipment are involved in construction of purification facilities of Vladivostok Central Area. The construction goes on according to the schedule, as the Primorsky Territory Administration press service reports.

As Regional State Unitary Enterprise “Primorsky Vodokanal”, the primary contractor, reported, the experts will start erecting the ultraviolet disinfection station on October 21. Aerotanks where outflows will be purified with anaerobic bactaria are 75% ready, cesspool is 100% ready. The construction of filters and grit trap has been started. The constructors will start ground works at sewage pumping station №2 next week.

They plan to finish the construction of purification facilities of Vladivostok Central Area by November 2010.

We would remind you that full reconstruction of Vladivostok sewage system and construction of purification plant of Central, North, South, and East Areas is being carried on in the framework of preparation to APEC Summit 2012. Central purification facilities will process 160 thousand cubic meters of sewage per day. The construction of purification plant will allow to prevent sewage disposal to the Peter the Great Bay and it’ll have positive influence on ecological and sanitary state of the water.

Information: Productive capacity of purification plant of Central Area will be 160 thousand cubic meters per day. Multilevel sewage treatment is planned: mechanical, bio and advanced treatment though special filters which completely remove even chemical impurity. After it the water will be disinfected in ultraviolet unit.

Sludge will be treated too through condensation, dehydrating, drying, and pressing. Then it will be utilized.
