The crisis management in the Far East and preparation for hosting of the APEC Summit in 2012 are the main issues of the Council of Plenipotentiary agenda

VLADIVOSTOK, September 18, vladivostoktimes.com Victor ISHAYEV, the Plenipotentiary of the RF President in the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD), held the Council of Plenipotentiary session in Vladivostok. The crisis management and social and economic development of the Far Eastern Federal District were the main issues of the session agenda; RIA PrimaMedia was informed in press service of the Apparatus of the Plenipotentiary of the RF President in the Far Eastern Federal District.

Alexander LEVINTAL, the Deputy Plenipotentiary of the RF President in the Far Eastern Federal District, Aleksey KUZMITSKIY, the Governor of the Kamchatka Territory, Nikolai DUDOV, the Governor of the Magadan Region, and Alexander KHOROSHAVIN, the Sakhalin Region Governor, made the reports on this point.

The issues of preparation for hosting of the APEC Summit in 2012 in Vladivostok and the progress in building of the APEC objects also were considered at the Council of Plenipotentiary of the RF President in FEFD. Alexander POLESHCHUK, the Deputy Plenipotentiary, Sergey DARKIN, the Primorsky Territory Governor, and Alexander ROGOZA, the special agent of the RF Ministry of Regional Development on preparation of the APEC Summit objects attended the session.

Besides, Dmitriy SEVEROV, the Deputy Minister of Telecommunications, was invited to participate in the Council of Plenipotentiary session; he made a report on introducing of the digital television technology in the Far Eastern Federal District.

Information: the Council of Plenipotentiary is the deliberative body that has been set up to the RF President’s order. Its sessions are held 4 times per year. The Council involves the heads of the federal subjects that make up the Federal District, the Deputy Prosecutor-General, and the chiefs of local departments of the Federal Agencies. Besides, the leaders of legislative authorities of the Far Eastern Federal Subjects and the representatives of the Federal Agencies are invited to the Council session.
