New airport terminal will be built in the framework of preparation to APEC Summit 2012

VLADIVOSTOK, August 4, vladivostoktimes.com The work meeting of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the RF President in the Far Eastern Federal District Victor ISHAYEV began on Tuesday, August 4. On arrival at Vladivostok airport Victor ISHAYEV held meeting on reconstruction of the airport. The press-service of the Primorsky Territory Administration reported it to RIA PrimaMedia.

Victor ISHAYEV examined reconstruction of the take-off runway accompanied by the Primorye Governor Sergey DARKIN, representatives of the Primorye Administration, airport direction and company-subcontractor.

Nowadays 360 workers, drivers and mechanizers work onsite, over 70 units of technical equipment are used, cement and concrete plant of total capacity 300 m3 an hour has been assembled. Old concrete pavement has been disassembled and preparation to laying of a new one is held.

Representatives of the building company reported the Plenipotentiary that works were implemented in accordance with the schedule.

Let us remind that reconstruction of the Vladivostok airport is held in the framework of the preparation of the Primorsky Territory to the APEC Summit 2012. It is planned to increase a number of runways, to build new taxi ways, stops of wide-body aircraft, new airport terminal. It will increase the airport capacity several times.
