The residents of the Primorsky Territory and Vladivostok have a chance of getting job

VLADIVOSTOK, April 14, vladivostoktimes.com The problem of the Primorye and Vladivostok residents’ employment at the Summit objects was discussed at the session of the interdepartmental headquarters of the Rosstroy Far Eastern Directorate; RIA PrimaMedia was informed in the press service of the Vladivostok City Administration. Elena SHCEGOLEVA, the Deputy of Vladivostok Mayor, attended the meeting and noted that the Vladivostok City Administration is growing interested in job placement as many Vladivostok residents as possible at the construction sites of the APEC objects. “Today there are only 63 vacancies to be filled on the list of “Vladivostok City Employment Center.” Together with employment agency we have prepared the list of candidates from among the Primorsky Territory and Vladivostok residents who are builders by profession and eager to get a job at the APEC objects’ construction sites; today there are 288 candidates on the list. Surely not all of them are skilled enough but nevertheless, more applicants for a job could become employed if we had more information from the companies involved in the building activity. The lack of information on the vacancies is a problem,” Elena SHCEGOLEVA notes. Victor MYASNIK, the Deputy Director of the Rosstroy Far Eastern Directorate, reminded that there is a lack of skilled workers at the construction sites and the building companies intend to involve the local human resources into the erection of the bridges. Especially, as the number of the erecting objects is increasing as well as the number of hands. The construction sites on the Russkiy Island can employ 6.5 thousand workers since August.

The contracting companies dealing with the building of the APEC Summit objects were recommended to inform the Vladivostok City Employment Center on the vacancies to be filled. The Rosstroy Far Eastern Directorate was also recommended to provide the information on the contracting and sub-contracting companies that are involved in the objects building.
