APEC-2012 Summit Objects to be Built in Vladivostok despite Crisis

15% of planning amount may be saved

VLADIVOSTOK, December 27, vladivostoktimes.com The building of APEC-2012 Summit Objects in Vladivostok will go on despite economic crisis. The objects are being built on schedule and in some objects the works are being carried out ahead of schedule. Alexander DYATCHIN, the General Director of FSD "Far Eastern Directorate of Rosstroi," reported at the press conference that was held on December 25 in Fresh Plaza Business Center; the correspondent of RIA PrimaMedia informs. "The objects federal financing has been assigned and endorsed and we expect there won’t be any changes in it. If the things come worse the number of objects might be reduced a little bit," Alexander DYATCHIN reported. He also noted that they have found the possibility to save 14-15% of planning amount at different stages – from the construction works that are being carried out currently to the designing of prospective objects. "Anyway, we can even feel the crisis’ support. The prices of some building materials are off," Alexander DYATCHIN says. He also assured that crisis situation cannot affect the schedule of building. ‘Abroad it takes 42 months to erect a cable stayed bridge. To build the same bridge to the Russkiy Island we work in three shifts and we are not going to stop because of winter or crisis, so we will be able to erect it on a tight timetable," the General Director of FSD "Far Eastern Directorate of Rosstroi," told.
