High-voltage cable – by the bridge, from De Friz peninsula – without tunnel

VLADIVOSTOK, December 15, vladivostoktimes.com Far-Eastern board of Rosstroy finally has made a decision on construction of the road “Noviy settlement – De Friz peninsula – Sedanka – Patrokl Bay” and laying of the high-voltage cable to Russkiy island by the bridge through the Bosfor Strait. Technical council as a result of projects reexamination it is planned to economize 14bln Rubles, the press-service of the Far-Eastern board of Rosstroy reported to RIA PrimaMedia. These decisions were made at the meeting of the technical council headed by the first vice General Director of the Far-Eastern board of Rosstroy Victor MYASNIK, which was held on December 10. The council consists of representatives of the Primorsky Territory Administration, Vladivostok Administration, boards of customers, representatives of energy companies and supervision bodies. The technical council examined two important questions, which needed efficient solution – laying of high-voltage cable to Russkiy island by the bridge through the Bosfor Vostochniy and variants of the route of the road “Noviy settlement – De Friz peninsula – Sedanka – Patrokl Bay” in the framework of Vladivostok development plan. As the first vice General Director of the far-Eastern board of Rosstroy Victor MYASNIK noted, laying of high-voltage cable of 220 kw power in the bridge construction in comparison with underwater laying will cause economy at the rate of 2bln Rubles. Federal network company, which must appoint a contractor on design and construction of these works, will hold laying of this high-voltage cable. While working up first projects of the bridge to Russkiy island, laying of high-voltage cable through the bridge construction wasn’t foreseen. However further research of organization of efficient energy supply of the APEC Summit objects allowed to find an opportunity of more optimal delivery of electric energy. One more important decision of the technical council is changing of project decision, allowing construction of transport scheme “Noviy settlement – De Friz peninsula – Sedanka – Patrokl bay” without construction of a tunnel. The Far-Eastern board of Rosstroy notes that the confirmed variant of the transport scheme will allow to reduce costs to 12bln Rubles. The total optimization of costs basing on the council meeting economizes means of the federal budget at the rate of 14bln Rubles.
